About the event

Youth Mentoring Training

This one day course provides introductory youth mentoring training for anyone in a volunteer or paid youth work role who is interested in secondary school mentoring, or in developing their personal youth work practice.

The day will be lead by Ruth Hunt (Thrive Youth Work Project Lead, Huntingdon), and Jax Keal (Youth Worker, Cambridge & District Youth For Christ).

Join us for a soft start at 9.30 for coffee and pastries, and the training will be delivered between 10-4, with an hour for lunch.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own packed lunch!

Throughout the day, we will look at:

o What is mentoring?

o The Mentoring Journey

o Boundaries and Safeguarding

o Communication Skills

We are delighted to offer this training free of charge. The maximum capacity for this event is 20, so please get in touch to book your place ASAP.

For more information, please email Jax Keal (jkeal@cambridgeyfc.uk) or Ruth Hunt (ruth@thriveyouthwork.com)
